To be eligible a student must score at the 95th percentile or above on a standardized test, such as the Stanford Achievement Test.  WCS is proud to announce the following students qualified:

Thursday, November 10th is the date set for the 25th Annual Fall Banquet at the Wichita Falls Country Club.  The evening will begin at 5:30 with a private sponsor reception with the speaker, and at 6:30 dinner will be served.  Activities for the evening include performances by the WCS High School Acapella Choir, testimonials by a grandparent, parent and student, and presentations of special awards.

Our speaker this year is Dr. Stephen Johnson, who is dean of the Honors College at Abilene Christian University, where he also serves as Associate Professor of Ministry in the Graduate School of Theology.  Stephen holds a Th.D. from the University of Toronto as well as a D.Min., M.Div., and B.A. from ACU.  He has served churches in Texas and Ontario, Canada (including ten years at the Edgemere Church of Christ in Wichita Falls) and currently preaches most Sundays in Buffalo Gap, Texas.  Stephen is married to Gayna.  They have three children: Claire, Emily and Henry.

On January 31, 2012, WCS celebrated and packed the stands with a new gym Dedication.  Thank you to all our generous supporters and dedicated families for attending.
