The primary purpose of Wichita Christian High School is to provide a high quality academic education in a Christian environment. Believing that Christianity is vital for genuine character development. We intend for the Bible to be the center from which everything radiates.

It is our conviction that we are living in God’s world and that we cannot live rightly in His world unless we live in harmony with His will and purpose. We believe that the Bible is God’s expressed will; therefore, Wichita Christian undertakes to develop both the spirit and the mind.

To accomplish this, we strive to maintain academic work of high quality and to integrate Biblical teachings in all that we do. Both administrators and teachers at Wichita Christian believe that all education should be basically and thoroughly Christ-centered. Our rigorous curriculum provides a platform for students to develop critical thinking skills, problem- solving skills, and their creativity. We offer a full 4×4 curriculum as well as electives in drama, jazz band, choir, art, yearbook, and advanced technology courses. Students have the opportunity to earn top academic honors such National Honor Society and honor roll. All students may choose to enroll in advanced courses, as well as dual credit courses for college credit in partnership with Vernon College and Midwestern State University.

At Wichita Christian, we believe in serving the whole student. Students have many opportunities to develop leadership skills through National Honor Society, Student Council, athletics, and TAPPS academic meets. Most importantly, students have opportunities to develop and grow spiritually through our weekly chapel services, community outreach programs, and intensive Bible studies. Also every Senior class participates in a leadership class, B.U.D.S.- Building Unity in Discipleship Service. Because we have a small environment, students are able to develop meaningful relationships with peers and teachers. Retreats are an important focus of our spiritual development. Each year, young men and women in High School participate in an overnight retreat. These retreats include intense thematic Bible studies and memorable times of fellowship. Wichita Christian has one retreat at the beginning of the year that includes all of secondary.
